Ben Schnetzer is an American actor, born on February 8, 1990, in New York City, and is the son of actors Stephen Schnetzer and Nancy Snyder. He is an alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Schnetzer's career began with roles in television series such as Law & Order (2010) and Happy Town (2010). He gained significant recognition for his film work, including his portrayal of Max Vandenburg in The Book Thief (2013), Mark Ashton in Pride (2014) – a role for which he received two British Independent Film Award nominations – and Dimitri Mitropoulos in The Riot Club (2014). He continued to appear in various films such as Goat (2016), Warcraft (2016) where he played Khadgar, Snowden (2016), The Grizzlies (2018), and The Death & Life of John F. Donovan (2018). On television, he has starred as Marcus Goldman in The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair (2018), Yorick Brown in Y: The Last Man (2021), and Young Mike Evans in 3 Body Problem (2024).
