Carolina Rosi is an Italian actress and assistant director, born on December 26, 1965, in Rome, Lazio, Italy. She is the daughter of renowned Italian film director Francesco Rosi. Carolina has an extensive career in both film and television, with notable acting credits including "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" (1987), "The Palermo Connection" (1990), and the miniseries "Abraham" (1993). In recent years, she has also ventured into directing and writing, most notably co-directing with Didi Gnocchi the personal documentary "Citizen Rosi" (2019), which explored the life and work of her father, Francesco Rosi. The documentary premiered out of competition at the 76th Venice International Film Festival. She was previously married to the esteemed actor and director Luca De Filippo. Carolina Rosi is also listed as part of the cast for the upcoming 2025 film "Fuori."
