Cha Jung-won is a South Korean actress and model born on October 18, 1989, in Busan, South Korea. Her birth name is Cha Mi-young. She launched her career in 2012 with an acting debut in the film Horror Stories. Her early career included supporting roles in television, such as Jung Seon-min in the 2015 drama She Was Pretty, and a cameo in All About My Mom. Her career breakthrough came around 2016-2017 when she secured lead roles in the SBS drama Kidnapping Assemblyman Mr. Clean and the 2017 series Wednesday 3:30 PM, followed by another lead role in Oh! Dear Half-Basement Goddesses. She has since taken on key supporting roles in popular dramas like Lawless Lawyer (2018) and My Absolute Boyfriend (2019), and she played Kyeong-Jin in the 2025 film Crypto Man. Recognized for her fashion and beauty sense, Cha Jung-won has also spent three seasons as an MC on a fashion and beauty program. In November 2022, she signed an exclusive contract with Saram Entertainment.
