Charlie Shotwell is an American actor born on July 17, 2007, in Madison, Wisconsin. He began his professional acting career at the age of six. He gained notable recognition for his role as Nai Cash, the youngest son of Viggo Mortensen's character, in the 2016 comedy-drama film Captain Fantastic, which earned him nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Young Artist Award.Since his breakout role, Shotwell has built a diverse filmography. He has appeared in a number of films, including the post-apocalyptic thriller Man Down (2015), The Glass Castle (2017), and the Ridley Scott thriller All the Money in the World (2017), where he played the young John Paul Getty III. He also had leading roles in the horror films Eli (2019) and the psychological thriller John and the Hole (2021). More recently, he played the younger version of the main character in the 2022 superhero film Morbius. He has also appeared in the TV series The Honourable Woman and the Disney+ series Andor.
