Clare Foley is an American actress known for her work in both film and television, often recognized for playing distinctive characters in genre projects. She gained early recognition for portraying the ghostly young girl Ashley in the horror film Sinister (2012) and its sequel Sinister 2 (2015). On television, her most prominent role was playing the young Ivy Pepper, an early version of the villain Poison Ivy, in the first two seasons of the Fox series Gotham (2014–2016). Additionally, she has appeared as a young Piper Chapman in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black and played Ruby Taylor in the series Do No Harm. Her film credits also include roles in the Paul Giamatti comedy Win Win (2011), Southpaw (2015), and The Great Gilly Hopkins (2016). Born on September 24, 2001, Foley continues to act, with later work including the 2022 horror film She Came from the Woods.
