Cleopatra Coleman is an Australian actress, writer, and producer, born on October 29, 1987, in Wentworth Falls, New South Wales. She grew up in Byron Bay and is the daughter of a Jamaican mother and a Scottish-Australian father. Initially trained as a dancer, Coleman transitioned to acting, beginning her career in Australian television with roles in shows like the sci-fi series Silversun (2004), the long-running soap opera Neighbours (2006–2007), and The Elephant Princess (2008–2009).She gained international recognition after moving to Los Angeles, landing the role of DJ Penelope in the 2012 film Step Up Revolution. Her most prominent role came in 2015 when she was cast as Erica Dundee in the Fox post-apocalyptic comedy series The Last Man on Earth, which ran until 2018. Since then, Coleman has appeared in a variety of films and television projects, including the drama series Dopesick (2021), and the feature films In the Shadow of the Moon (2019), Cobweb (2023), and the sci-fi horror film Infinity Pool (2023). She also starred as Devra Bloodaxe in Zack Snyder's Netflix epic Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (2023) and its sequel. In addition to acting, she co-wrote and starred in the short film Trains (2011) and wrote, produced, and starred in the environmental sci-fi thriller Hover (2018).
