Corrado Fortuna is an Italian actor, director, television presenter, and writer, born on March 31, 1978, in Palermo, Sicily. He made his acting debut in 2002 with the title role in Paolo Virzì's film "My Name Is Tanino," and continued his collaboration with Virzì as an assistant director on "Caterina in the Big City" (2003). The same year, he starred in Franco Battiato's directorial debut, "Lost Love." His performances in these early films earned him the "Guglielmo Biraghi" prize in 2004 from the Italian Film Journalists Union.Throughout his career, Fortuna has worked with notable directors, including a small role in Woody Allen's "To Rome with Love" (2012) and a lead in "Scusate se esisto!" (2014) alongside Paola Cortellesi and Raul Bova. Beyond acting, he has simultaneously pursued a career as a director of documentaries and music videos, and in 2014, he published his first novel, "Un giorno sarai un posto bellissimo." He continues to be active in both film and television, with recent credits including "Il ragazzo dai pantaloni rosa" (2024) and the upcoming "Fuori" (2025).
