Craig Hall

Born on May 10, 1974, Craig Hall is a prolific New Zealand actor with a career spanning over 25 years in film and television in both New Zealand and Australia. His acting debut was in the 1996 film Siren, and he gained significant recognition for his television roles as Nicky Greegan on the New Zealand crime comedy Outrageous Fortune (joining in Season 4) and as Dr. Jack Duncan on the Australian drama A Place to Call Home (2013–2018), where he played roles ranging from brooding bad boy to cop and doctor. He has appeared in major international films, including Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005) as one of Carl Denham's film crew, The World's Fastest Indian (2005) opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins, 30 Days of Night (2007), Taika Waititi's Eagle vs Shark (2007) and Boy (2012), and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) where he played Galion, the chief steward. He won the Aotearoa New Zealand Television Award for Best Actor in a Featured Role for the telemovie Bloodlines (2010). Hall also worked in theater and directed the short film Mumma's Boy (2013). He was married to New Zealand actress Sara Wiseman from 2007 until their separation in 2023, and they relocated to Australia in 2011.
