Danny McCarthy (born February 9, 1969) is an accomplished American actor with a rich background in stage, television, and film. Hailing from St. Louis, he honed his craft at the Webster Conservatory before launching a career in Chicago’s theater scene—becoming a longtime ensemble member at A Red Orchid Theatre and earning acclaim from roles in prestigious Broadway productions such as The Iceman Cometh alongside Denzel Washington and To Kill a Mockingbird with Jeff Daniels . On-screen, McCarthy gained recognition as Special Agent Danny Hale in Fox's hit series Prison Break (2005–06). His filmography spans numerous notable titles, including The Amityville Horror (2005), Stranger Than Fiction, Flags of Our Fathers, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Stronger, showcasing his versatility in both supporting and character roles.
