Dar Salim
Dar Salim is an acclaimed Danish actor, born on August 18, 1977, in Baghdad, Iraq. He moved to Denmark as a six-year-old and later trained as a pilot before pursuing acting. He is well-known for his roles in major international and Scandinavian productions, including the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011) where he played Qotho, and the political drama series Borgen (2010–2011) as Amir Diwan. His film credits include Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014), the Oscar-nominated A War (2015), the action-thriller Darkland (2017) and its sequel Darkland: The Return (2023), and Guy Ritchie's The Covenant (2023) where he co-starred with Jake Gyllenhaal. He has been nominated multiple times for both the Robert and Bodil Awards, Denmark's top film honors, and won the Best Actor award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival for his leading role in Until We Fall (2018). In the 2025 Netflix film Mango, Dar Salim plays the male lead, Alex, a former lawyer who now owns a mango plantation in Málaga, Spain, and refuses to sell his land to the ambitious hotel manager, Lærke.
