Darrell D'Silva
Darrell Fitzgerald D'Silva is a British actor, born on January 5, 1964, in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Before his acting career, he was involved in the 1980s Sheffield music scene, playing in bands such as The Anti-Group and Hula. He later graduated from the Drama Centre London. D'Silva is highly regarded for his extensive work in theatre, notably with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), which he first joined in 1996 and was made an associate artist of in 2011. His stage career includes performances in plays like Tennessee Williams's Camino Real and productions at the Royal National Theatre. On screen, D'Silva is best known for starring as the hard-drinking, saxophone-playing pathologist Hendrik Davie in the ITV series Van der Valk, a role he took on in the 2020 relaunch. His film and television credits include roles as an Ironborn in season six of Game of Thrones, Geoff Craven in Endeavour, Mike in Guy Ritchie's action thriller Wrath of Man (2021) starring Jason Statham, and Piso in the TV series Domina. He has also appeared in the crime drama Out of the Blue, Krakatoa: The Last Days, Northmen: A Viking Saga, and is set to star as "The Rev" in the upcoming film Cold Storage (2026).
