David Lyons
David Lyons is an Australian actor known for his versatile work in both film and television. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, he is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). He first gained popularity in his home country for his role as Seaman Josh Holiday in the naval drama Sea Patrol.Lyons' career expanded to American television with his role as Dr. Simon Brenner in the final season of the long-running medical drama ER. He went on to star as the title character in the short-lived superhero series The Cape and then played a key role as General Sebastian Monroe in the post-apocalyptic drama Revolution. His film credits include roles in the Julia Roberts film Eat Pray Love, the romantic drama Safe Haven, and the Robert Redford-directed docudrama Truth. He is also an accomplished director and screenwriter, having helmed the short film Record. He is set to appear in the 2025 film She Rides Shotgun.
