Evan Dexter O'Neal Parke (born January 2, 1968, in Kingston, Jamaica) is a Jamaican-American actor, writer, producer, and media entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. He spent his early childhood in Kingston before relocating to the United States, where he was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and later on Long Island. Parke attended Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1990 and played football. He later received a master's degree from the prestigious Yale School of Drama. Parke is widely known for his role as Benjamin "Ben" Hayes, the First Mate of the SS Venture, in Peter Jackson's 2005 film King Kong, a role he also voiced in the accompanying video game. His filmography includes other Academy Award-winning productions such as The Cider House Rules (1999), Django Unchained (2012), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), along with roles in Planet of the Apes (2001) and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005). On television, he has appeared in over 150 episodes across numerous series, including recurring roles on All My Children, Alias, L.A. Dragnet (as Detective Raymond Cooper), The Young and the Restless (as District Attorney Spencer Walsh), The Get Down (as Wolf), The Blacklist (as Detective Norman Singleton), and Law & Order: Organized Crime (as Captain Sean Pierce). He also provided the voice for the character Luther in the video game Detroit: Become Human (2018). As an entrepreneur, Parke founded and serves as CEO of Arimathea Media Capital Inc., an entertainment and media company.
