Fairouz Ai is a prominent Japanese voice actress affiliated with Raccoon Dog. Born on July 6, 1993, in Tokyo to a Japanese mother and an Egyptian father, she was named after the famous Lebanese singer Fairuz. She spent part of her elementary school years attending the Cairo Japanese School in Egypt before returning to Japan. Her passion for voice acting was significantly sparked by her deep interest in the manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure during her junior high years. Despite initial parental disapproval, she pursued her dream, working as a dental assistant to save money before enrolling in a voice acting training school.She made her major debut in 2019 by landing the lead role of Hibiki Sakura in the anime series How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?, for which she also performed the opening theme, "Onegai Muscle," a role that leveraged her passion for muscle training. Her breakout year earned her the Best Rookie Actress award at the 14th Seiyu Awards in 2020. Fairouz Ai has since become celebrated for her powerful, energetic, and versatile vocal range, securing several high-profile roles.
