Gang Dong-won is a highly popular and well-regarded South Korean actor. Born on January 18, 1981, he initially started his career as a model before transitioning to acting in 2003. He quickly rose to fame with his lead roles in the films Temptation of Wolves (2004) and Duelist (2005), which established him as a major star. Known for his striking visuals and ability to take on a variety of genres, he has built a diverse and successful filmography.His notable roles include a priest in the occult thriller The Priests (2015), a lawyer in the crime film A Violent Prosecutor (2016), and a swordsman in the historical fantasy Jeon Woo-chi: The Taoist Wizard (2009). His career also includes the zombie blockbuster Peninsula (2020) and the drama film Broker (2022). In the 2024 Netflix film Uprising, he starred as the skilled swordsman Cheon-yeong.
