George Young

George Young is an English actor, writer, and television presenter. Born in London on February 29, 1980, to a Malaysian Chinese father and a Greek Cypriot mother, he is known for his work in both Asian and Western productions. Before pursuing a career in acting, he completed degrees in psychology and law and was a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.His acting career began with appearances in the BBC drama Casualty and his first feature film role in the Bollywood movie Jhootha Hi Sahi. He gained popularity in Asia as a host and actor, particularly in Singapore and Taiwan, where he hosted shows like Million Dollar Money Drop: Singapore Edition and acted in series like Grace and The Journey: A Voyage.Young's profile in the United States grew with his starring role as Dr. Victor Cannerts on The CW's series Containment (2016). He later gained further international recognition for his role as Detective Kekoa Shaw in James Wan's 2021 horror film Malignant. In addition to his acting work, Young is also a writer and director, with a focus on raising awareness about autism, a cause he is passionate about as two of his younger brothers are autistic. He is married to Taiwanese-American television host Janet Hsieh, and they have two sons.
