Germán de Silva is an Argentine actor, born in 1953, with an active career in cinema, theater, and television starting around 2000, and is credited in more than 60 movies and 7 TV shows. He is a prominent figure in Argentine cinema, having appeared in a number of internationally acclaimed films. His notable filmography includes the role of Rubén, the truck driver, in the 2011 film Las acacias, which won the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He is also known for his parts in the Academy Award-nominated Wild Tales (2014), The Student (2011), Zama (2017), The Two Popes (2019), and The Delinquents (2023), which was featured at the Festival de Cannes. Over the course of his career, he has been nominated for awards such as the Sur Award for Best Actor for The Attachment Diaries and the Martín Fierro Film Award for Best Supporting Comedy Actor for The Delinquents.
