Gilbert Melki is a French actor, born on November 12, 1958, in Paris. He comes from a family with artistic ties, as he is the nephew of actor Claude Melki. Gilbert Melki gained prominence in French cinema with his role as Patrick Abitbol in the successful comedy Would I Lie to You? (1997) and its sequel. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated versatility in both comedic and dramatic roles, appearing in numerous films and television productions. Some of his notable works include Angel-A (2005), The Heir Apparent: Largo Winch (2008), Monsieur Ibrahim (2003), and more recently, Honeymoon Crasher (2025) and the TV series Cat's Eye (2024). In 2012, he received a nomination at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series for Kaboul Kitchen.
