Jalil Lespert
Jalil Lespert is a French actor, screenwriter, and director, born on May 11, 1976, in Paris, France. He is the son of actor Jean Lespert. After initially pursuing law studies, Lespert made his film debut in 1995 alongside his father in the short film Jeux de plage. His breakthrough came in 1999 with a major role in Our Happy Lives, followed by the film Human Resources in 2000, for which he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor, confirming his talent and launching a prolific career. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous films, playing a diverse range of characters in projects like Tell No One (2006), The Last Mitterrand (2005), and more recently, Infinity Pool (2023). Lespert expanded his career to directing and screenwriting, making his directorial debut in 2007 with 24 Bars (24 mesures). His notable directing credits include the critically acclaimed biopic Yves Saint Laurent (2014), the thriller Iris (2016), and the docuseries Room 2806: The Accusation (2020).
