Jason Momoa is an American actor, producer, and environmental activist born on August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Norwalk, Iowa. He began his career in 1999 as a lifeguard on the series Baywatch: Hawaii, followed by a long-running role as Ronon Dex on Stargate Atlantis, but he achieved global superstardom through his breakout performance as Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones and his portrayal of Arthur Curry in the billion-dollar blockbuster Aquaman (2018). Beyond his superhero fame, Momoa has established himself as a versatile lead in projects like the historical drama Frontier, the post-apocalyptic series See, and the 2021 sci-fi epic Dune as Duncan Idaho. In 2022, he starred as the boisterous dream-guide Flip in the Netflix fantasy adventure Slumberland.
