Jim Gaffigan, born James Christopher Gaffigan on July 7, 1966, in Elgin, Illinois, is a highly successful American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer known for his observational comedy, often revolving around fatherhood, food, laziness, and religion, all delivered with a generally clean style. A Georgetown University alumnus, Gaffigan began his comedy career in the early 1990s and has since released numerous critically acclaimed stand-up specials, including "Beyond the Pale," "King Baby," "Mr. Universe," "Obsessed," "Cinco," "Noble Ape," "Quality Time," "The Pale Tourist," and "Comedy Monster," earning him multiple Grammy nominations.Beyond stand-up, Gaffigan has had a significant presence in television and film. He co-created and starred in the semi-autobiographical sitcom "The Jim Gaffigan Show." His film credits include roles in "Three Kings," "Super Troopers," "13 Going on 30," and "Chappaquiddick."
