Jin Sun-kyu is a highly regarded and versatile South Korean actor born on September 13, 1977. While he has a long career that includes both film and television, he is particularly celebrated for his breakthrough roles on the big screen. He is well-known for his scene-stealing performance as the villainous gangster Wi Seong-rak in the 2017 hit film The Outlaws, a role that earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards. This success was followed by another standout comedic performance as Detective Ma in the immensely popular 2019 film Extreme Job, one of South Korea's highest-grossing films of all time.Before his rise to mainstream fame, Jin Sun-kyu built a solid foundation as a theater actor, co-founding the performance troupe "Ganda" with fellow actors. He has since demonstrated his range in a variety of genres and roles, from historical dramas like The Fortress to the sci-fi action film Space Sweepers and the crime thriller series Through the Darkness. His recent work includes the films Alienoid: Return to the Future and Uprising (2024), where he played the character Ja-ryeong.
