Joe Mande

Joseph "Joe" Mande is an American comedian, actor, and screenwriter, born on March 16, 1983, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised primarily in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in writing, where he began his comedy career. Mande's extensive work in television includes writing for acclaimed series such as "Parks and Recreation" (for which he also had a recurring role as Morris Lerpiss), "Kroll Show," "Master of None," and all four seasons of "The Good Place." More recently, he served as a co-executive producer and writer on the HBO Max comedy series Hacks, where he also had a recurring acting role as Ray. His work on Hacks earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2024, along with multiple Writers Guild of America and Producers Guild of America awards. As a stand-up comedian, Mande released his debut album, Bitchface, in 2014, and his Netflix special, Joe Mande's Award-Winning Comedy Special, in 2017. He is also the creator of the popular 2009 website, and subsequent book, Look at This Fucking Hipster. He is married to Kylie Augustine.
