John Leguizamo is a Colombian-American actor, comedian, writer, and producer, born on July 22, 1960, in Bogotá, Colombia, and raised in Queens, New York. Known for his high-energy performances and versatility, Leguizamo has built a multifaceted career spanning film, television, theater, and voice acting. He first rose to prominence with his one-man stage shows like Mambo Mouth and Spic-O-Rama, which showcased his comedic talent and sharp social commentary. His Broadway hit Freak earned him a Primetime Emmy Award and established him as a major theatrical voice. On screen, he’s recognized for roles in To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, John Wick, and as the voice of Sid the Sloth in the Ice Age franchise.
