
Josh McConville
Josh McConville is a highly acclaimed Australian actor known for his versatile performances across film, television, and extensive theatre work. Born on January 27, 1986, he graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2008.McConville has garnered numerous accolades for his stage work, including a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor for Noises Off, and another Sydney Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his powerful portrayal of Brett Sprague in Griffin Theatre Company's production of The Boys. He also received a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Newcomer for his roles in The Call and Strange Attractor. His notable theatre credits include Cloud Nine, All My Sons, Midsummer Night's Dream, Loot, Arcadia, Hay Fever, After Dinner, Cyrano De Bergerac (opposite Richard Roxburgh), Romeo and Juliet, and The Sublime (for which he was nominated for a Green Room award). He has also performed in King Lear and The Servant of Two Masters.On screen, McConville has built a significant filmography. His film credits include The Infinite Man, The Turning: Commission (with Hugo Weaving), Down Under, Joe Cinque's Consolation, War Machine (uncredited as Payne), 1% (for which he was nominated for a 2018 AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role), The Merger, Top End Wedding, Escape and Evasion, Fantasy Island, Lone Wolf, and Elvis (playing Sam Phillips).
