Kappei Yamaguchi

Kappei Yamaguchi, born Mitsuo Yamaguchi on May 23, 1965, in Fukuoka, is a highly popular Japanese actor, voice actor, and rakugoka affiliated with Gokū and 21st Century Fox. He began his voice acting career in 1989 as the male version of Ranma Saotome in Ranma ½, a breakthrough role. He is renowned for voicing many iconic and long-running anime characters, including Inuyasha in Inuyasha and its sequel Yashahime, Usopp in One Piece, L in Death Note, and both Shinichi Kudo and Kaito Kid in Case Closed (or Detective Conan). Additionally, he has provided the Japanese dub voice for characters like Kyle Broflovski and Bugs Bunny in various works. Yamaguchi is married and has two children, a son named Ryunosuke and a daughter named Akane, both of whom are also voice actors. He won the individual seiyu award at the 2003 Tokyo International Anime Fair and the Kei Tomiyama Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards in 2019.
