Kathy Najimy

Kathy Najimy is an American actress, comedian, writer, and activist, widely recognized for her memorable roles in film and television, as well as her distinguished voice acting career. She first rose to national prominence as co-creator and star of the feminist stage comedy "The Kathy and Mo Show," which led to two successful HBO specials with her creative partner, Mo Gaffney. Her major film breakthroughs came in the early 1990s with her portrayal of the cheerful Sister Mary Patrick in the comedy "Sister Act" (1992) and its 1993 sequel, and her iconic role as the buck-toothed witch Mary Sanderson in the Disney Halloween classic "Hocus Pocus" (1993), a role she reprised nearly three decades later in "Hocus Pocus 2" (2022). On television, Najimy is best known for providing the voice of the proud and eccentric wife and mother Peggy Hill on the long-running animated series "King of the Hill" (1997–2010; 2025–present), for which she won an Annie Award. She also starred as Olive Massery on the sitcom Veronica's Closet from 1997 to 2000 and has held recurring roles in shows like Veep.
