Hoppers (2026) is an upcoming American animated science fiction comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures, and is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on March 6, 2026. The film is directed by Daniel Chong, creator of We Bare Bears, and is co-written by Chong and Jesse Andrews, with an original score by Mark Mothersbaugh. The central premise revolves around a new scientific breakthrough that allows human consciousness to be "hopped" into lifelike robotic animals, enabling direct communication with the animal world. The story follows Mabel (voiced by Piper Curda), a 19-year-old animal lover who utilizes this technology to embody a robotic beaver. Mabel's goal is to communicate with the local wildlife to thwart a plan by the greedy Mayor Jerry (voiced by Jon Hamm) to destroy the animal habitat known as the Glade for a new highway, but her actions accidentally inspire an animal uprising.
