Dave Franco
David John "Dave" Franco is an American actor and filmmaker best known for his roles in a mix of comedy and action films. Born on June 12, 1985, in Palo Alto, California, and the younger brother of actor James Franco, he began his career with small roles in films like Superbad (2007) and gained wider recognition for his role as Cole Aaronson in the final season of the TV comedy series Scrubs (2009–2010). Franco achieved his film breakthrough with a supporting role as Eric Molson in the buddy comedy 21 Jump Street (2012) and went on to star in the successful Now You See Me (2013) and its sequel, Now You See Me 2 (2016), as the street magician Jack Wilder. Other notable acting credits include the comedies Neighbors (2014) and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), the techno-thriller Nerve (2016), and playing Greg Sestero alongside his brother in The Disaster Artist (2017). Franco made his feature directorial debut in 2020 with the horror film The Rental, which he also co-wrote and produced, and later directed the romantic comedy Somebody I Used to Know (2023), which he co-wrote with his wife, actress Alison Brie.
