Katy O'Brian is an American actress, writer, and martial artist known for her roles in major science fiction and action franchises. Born on February 12, 1989, in Indianapolis, Indiana, her unique background includes a B.A. from Indiana University Bloomington, seven years as a police officer on a Crisis Intervention Team, and a history as a competitive bodybuilder and martial artist, holding a brown belt in Shorei Goju Ryu Karate and a black belt in Hapkido. O'Brian broke into television with roles on series like The Walking Dead and a main cast role as George in Syfy's Z Nation (2018). She is now a fixture in major franchises, appearing in the Star Wars universe as Imperial communications officer Elia Kane in seasons 2 and 3 of The Mandalorian, and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jentorra, the leader of the Freedom Fighters, in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). Her breakout feature film role came in 2024 as the queer bodybuilder Jackie in the critically acclaimed thriller Love Lies Bleeding, co-starring Kristen Stewart.
