Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer is a highly successful and multi-talented American actress, singer, and television personality. Born on August 26, 1993, in Harvey, Illinois, she began performing at a young age, starting in her church choir. Her family moved to California to support her burgeoning career, which took off with her role in the 2006 film Akeelah and the Bee.Palmer has built an extensive filmography, transitioning from child stardom to mature roles. As a child actress, she was the star of the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP (2008–2011), which earned her several NAACP Image Awards.
