Known for his distinctly deep, smooth, and often menacing voice, which frequently lends itself to charismatic antagonists, cool-headed mentors, and comedic yakuza, he has become one of the most popular and recognizable voices in the anime industry since his debut in 1995. He attended Meiji University, where he studied theatre, and his career began with stage acting before he transitioned into voice work.Tsuda's resume includes numerous iconic roles that span across several generations of anime and other media. His breakout and arguably most famous role is Seto Kaiba from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. In modern anime, he is celebrated for characters like the mature and pragmatic Jujutsu Sorcerer Kento Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, the former yakuza turned househusband Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband, the villain Overhaul (Kai Chisaki) in My Hero Academia, the cunning mentor Kishibe in Chainsaw Man, and the immortal wanderer Hyakunosuke Ogata in Golden Kamuy.
