Konstantin Khabenskiy is a highly acclaimed Russian actor, director, and philanthropist. Born on January 11, 1972, in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), he is one of the most well-known and respected actors in Russia. After a variety of odd jobs, he pursued his passion for acting, graduating from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema in 1995.He became widely recognized in Russia for his role as investigator Igor Plakhov in the TV series Deadly Force (2000-2005). His international breakthrough came with the films Night Watch (2004) and its sequel Day Watch (2006), where he played the lead character, Anton Gorodetsky. His filmography is extensive and includes a diverse range of genres, with notable films like Wanted (2008) alongside Angelina Jolie, The Admiral (2008), The Geographer Drank His Globe Away (2013), and the 2024 film Guest from the Future, where he plays the character of Professor Seleznev.In addition to his acting career, Khabenskiy is also a director, making his directorial debut with the 2018 film Sobibor. He is also a dedicated philanthropist, having established the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation in 2008 to provide assistance to children with oncological and other serious brain afflictions. He has received numerous awards for his work, including two Nika Awards and three Golden Eagle Awards.
