Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon is a highly popular and versatile Indian actress, producer, and entrepreneur who works primarily in Hindi cinema. Born on July 27, 1990, in New Delhi to a Chartered Accountant father, Rahul Sanon, and a Physics Professor mother, Geeta Sanon, she pursued a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, before deciding to chase her passion for acting and modeling. She made her acting debut in 2014 with the Telugu psychological thriller 1: Nenokkadine and simultaneously entered Bollywood with the action-romance Heropanti, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her early career established her as a bankable star with successful films like Dilwale (2015), the slice-of-life comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), and Luka Chuppi (2019). The major turning point in her career came with the 2021 film Mimi, where her emotionally rich performance as a dancer who becomes a surrogate mother earned her widespread critical acclaim, culminating in the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress in 2023. Beyond acting, Kriti is also a shrewd entrepreneur, having launched a clothing line (Ms. Taken), a fitness company (The Tribe), and her own successful hybrid skincare brand (Hyphen). In 2023, she made her debut as a producer under her banner Blue Butterfly Films with the streaming film Do Patti. She continues to maintain a strong presence in mainstream cinema, with recent hits like Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew (2024), and is currently set to star as Mukti opposite Dhanush in Aanand L. Rai's highly anticipated romantic drama, Tere Ishk Mein (2025).
