Kyle Mooney

Kyle Mooney is an American comedian, actor, and writer renowned for his unique brand of awkward, offbeat humor. Born on September 4, 1984, in San Diego, California, he honed his comedic skills at the University of Southern California, where he earned a BFA in Theatre. Mooney first gained prominence as a member of the YouTube sketch group Good Neighbor, alongside Beck Bennett and Dave McCary. Their viral videos caught the attention of Saturday Night Live (SNL), leading to Mooney joining the show's cast in 2013. Over his nine-year tenure, he became known for characters like Bruce Chandling, a socially awkward stand-up comedian, and his portrayal of Baby Yoda on Weekend Update. In addition to his SNL work, Mooney co-wrote and starred in the 2017 film Brigsby Bear, a cult comedy that premiered at Sundance and was praised for its heartfelt storytelling. After leaving SNL in 2022, Mooney continued to expand his creative endeavors. In 2025, he embarked on his first North American tour, "The Real Me/Fake Me Tour," to promote his debut album, The Real Me. The tour features a mix of lo-fi music, comedic characters, and performances by special guests, including Carmen Christopher and TikTok star Kyle Gordon.
