Liz Mullane
Liz Mullane is a New Zealand casting director and former actor. She began her career as an actor, training at the NZ National Drama School in 1984. She later transitioned into casting after working on Peter Jackson's film Braindead, with Jackson then asking her to cast Heavenly Creatures, which helped launch the careers of Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey. Mullane has since worked with Peter Jackson on all of his projects, including The Frighteners, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, King Kong, The Lovely Bones, The Hobbit, and Mortal Engines. Her other casting credits include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Bridge to Terebithia, Pete's Dragon, Avatar, and Ghost in the Shell. In 2021, she was invited to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
