Lucy Prebble is a highly acclaimed British playwright and television writer and producer, born in Surrey in 1980. Known for her sharp wit and insightful social commentary, Prebble began writing plays in her teenage years and studied English at the University of Sheffield. Her breakthrough came with the play "The Sugar Syndrome" (2003), which won the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright.
