Mahesh Jadu is an Australian actor known for his diverse roles in film and television. Born on October 26, 1982, in Carlton, Victoria, Australia, he was raised in Canning Vale, Western Australia. His parents are of Indo-Mauritian descent, with ancestral roots tracing back to Bihar, Gorakhpur, and Kashmir. Jadu began his career as a composer for the Australian show Byte Me before transitioning into acting. He made his film debut in the 2008 Indian film Sorry Bhai! and later gained recognition for his role as Dr. Doug Harris in the Australian soap opera Neighbours from 2010 to 2011 . His international breakthrough came with the Netflix series Marco Polo (2014–2016), where he portrayed Ahmad Fanakati. In 2019, Jadu joined the cast of Netflix's The Witcher, playing the character Vilgefortz of Roggeveen . He has also appeared in films such as I, Frankenstein (2014) and The Lovers (2015), and had a role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). Beyond acting, Jadu is passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. He co-founded the production company Ākaasha Media with producer Nikit Doshi . He is also involved in mentoring aspiring actors, sharing his experiences and insights to inspire the next generation of storytellers .
