Ice Road: Vengeance 2025

Ice Road: Vengeance (2025) is an action-thriller sequel to the 2021 film The Ice Road, directed and written by Jonathan Hensleigh. Liam Neeson reprises his role as Mike McCann, a big rig ice road driver who embarks on a perilous journey to Nepal to scatter his late brother’s ashes on Mount Everest. Accompanied by his mountain guide, Dhani (Fan Bingbing), McCann faces a group of ruthless mercenaries while traversing the treacherous 12,000 ft. terrain of the infamous Road to the Sky. The duo must fight to save themselves, innocent passengers, and a local village on the brink of destruction.🌍 Filming Locations Despite the film's setting in Nepal, most of the production took place in Australia. Walhalla, Victoria, a historic town, was transformed to resemble a Nepalese village. Scenes were shot at locations such as the intersection of Main Road and Right Hand Branch Road, and Churchill Road near the Fire Station Museum. Some indoor and special effects scenes were filmed at NantStudios in Melbourne. A brief four-day shoot occurred in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, Nepal, primarily near the Araniko Highway, to add authenticity to the Nepalese setting.📺 Where to Watch Digital Platforms: Available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home. Streaming: Currently not available on Netflix or Max. However, based on previous releases by Vertical Entertainment, there's potential for the film to stream on Max later in 2025, possibly around September or October..🎭 Critics Ice Road: Vengeance has received mixed to negative reviews. Critics have noted its formulaic plot and lack of compelling action sequences. Some reviews highlight Liam Neeson's performance as the film's saving grace, while others criticize the film for its predictable storytelling and lackluster visual effects.📝 Conclusion Ice Road: Vengeance offers a continuation of the action-packed saga, with Liam Neeson once again leading the charge. While the film provides some thrilling moments, it may not meet the high expectations set by its predecessor. For fans of the original or those seeking a straightforward action thriller, it might be worth a watch. However, viewers looking for a more innovative or deeply engaging story may find it lacking.

This movie is way below average. The acting is pathetic...you just laugh (and not because it's a comedy) at how bad the special effects and fight scenes are. Definitely one of, if not the worst Lian Neeson movie ever and it's a shame to waste 2 hours of your life watching something like this. I don't understand how actors like Liam Neeson accept such roles, because they alone ruin the image they've built up over their entire life. Unfortunately, Hollywood has been in decline for the last few years and the quality of films is increasingly execrable. In conclusion, don't waste your time with this movie, it's simply ridiculous.
