Michael Abbott Jr. is an American actor and producer, born James Michael Abbott Jr. in Tennessee, United States, on July 8, 1978. He is a graduate of The North Carolina School of the Arts Drama School and has a background in stage acting, including appearances in numerous New York City and regional theater productions, and is a member of John Houseman's Tony-honored Acting Company. Abbott Jr. made his feature film debut in 2007 in writer and director Jeff Nichols' debut film, Shotgun Stories. His notable film credits include Mud (2012), Loving (2016), The Death of Dick Long (2019), The Dark and the Wicked (2020), Killers of the Flower Moon (2023), and The Last Stop in Yuma County (2023). He has also appeared in television series such as The Last of Us, Chicago P.D., Fallout, and The Blacklist, and was part of the cast for the 2025 film Vicious. Abbott Jr. is also credited as a producer, including as an executive producer on the film In the Radiant City.
