Mitsuki Takahata
Mitsuki Takahata is a Japanese actress and singer, born on December 14, 1991, in Higashiōsaka, Osaka, and is represented by the talent agency Horipro. She attended Hosei University as an undergraduate student. Her career began in 2005 after she won the Grand Prix at an audition for a musical, and from 2007, she notably played the title role in the musical Peter Pan for six years. Takahata gained significant recognition for her acting and singing talents following her role in the 2013 NHK drama series Gochisōsan and later starred as the lead in the 2016 NHK series Daddy Sister. Her film work includes titles such as Rage (2016), Destiny: The Tale of Kamakura (2017), Monster (2023), and Golden Kamuy (2024). Her major accolades include winning Newcomer of the Year at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize for Evergreen Love (2016) and a Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress nomination for her performance in A Banana? At This Time of Night? (2018). She is also known for stage roles in musicals like Miss Saigon and Waitress. In 2024, she married actor Masaki Okada, with whom she had co-starred in the Prime Video series 1122: For a Happy Marriage.
