Nazar Oleksandrovych Zadniprovskyi, born on November 9, 1975, in Kyiv, is a celebrated Ukrainian stage, film, and voice actor who holds the prestigious title of People's Artist of Ukraine. He comes from a storied acting dynasty; he is the son of acclaimed actors Oleksandr Zadniprovskyi and Zoya Sivach, and the grandson of the legendary Mykhailo Zadniprovskyi. Nazar followed in his family's footsteps by studying at the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, graduating in 1995. Since then, he has been a pillar of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre, where he has performed in countless classical and contemporary productions, including notable roles in Martin Borulya and Tevye-Tevel. In the world of cinema and television, Zadniprovskyi is widely recognized for his impeccable comedic timing and versatile character acting. He gained massive popularity for his role as Vasyl Serediuk in the hit film franchise Crazy Wedding (and its subsequent spin-offs like Crazy Neighbors), as well as his performances in The House for Happiness and The Last Moskal. His contribution to the 2023 international success Mavka: The Forest Song was pivotal, as he provided the voice for Lesh, the ancient and wise Guardian of the Forest who serves as a mentor to Mavka.
