Noé Hernández Álvarez (born November 10, 1969, in Atitalaquía, Hidalgo, Mexico) is a highly accomplished Mexican actor and director with a significant presence in Mexican cinema and television. After studying Dramatic Arts at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, he initially worked as a high school teacher and founded an experimental theater group. Hernández transitioned to professional acting in 2007 and has since built an impressive filmography, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards. He received Ariel Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his roles in La Tirisia (2014) and 600 Millas (2015), and the Ariel Award for Best Actor for Ocho de Cada Diez (2018) and Kokoloko (2020), the latter also earning him a Best Actor award at the Tribeca Festival.Hernández is known for his compelling performances in films such as Sin Nombre (2009), Miss Bala (2011), We Are the Flesh (2016), Bel Canto (2018), and Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths (2022).
