Ophelia Lucy Lovibond is an English actress born on February 19, 1986, in Hammersmith, London. She began acting at a young age, starting in a youth theatre club and landing her first professional television role in the Channel 4 sitcom The Wilsons at age 12. Lovibond is a graduate of the University of Sussex, where she earned a degree in English Literature. She is well-known for her versatile roles across film and television, including playing Carina, The Collector's assistant, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). On the small screen, she is widely recognized for her main roles as Kitty Winter, Sherlock Holmes's protégée, in the CBS series Elementary (2014–2019), and as Izzy Gould in the BBC satirical comedy W1A. More recently, she has garnered significant praise for starring as the earnest feminist editor Joyce Prigger in the HBO Max/Starz period-comedy series Minx (2022–present) and for her role as Erica in the Apple TV+ series Trying. Her film work also includes appearances in No Strings Attached (2011), Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011), and the horror film The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), where she played Emma.
