Panta Mosleh

Panta Mosleh is a prolific Queer Canadian-Kurdish-Iranian writer, director, producer, and actor who is based in both Vancouver and Los Angeles. Born in Singapore and having lived in Iran and Japan, her diverse background deeply informs her work, which focuses on providing joyful and authentic representation for minority groups. Mosleh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria and is an alumna of numerous prestigious programs, including the Groundlings School of Comedy, the Sundance Directing and Writing Programs, and the Amazon MGM Writing Program. As a director, she has helmed multiple TV movies for networks like Hallmark (such as the critically acclaimed Christmas with the Singhs), Lifetime, and A&E. Her short film Hatch (2024), which she co-directed, won the Golden Yusr for Best Short Film at the Red Sea International Film Festival. Her feature documentary, Pride & Prayer (2025), is a deeply personal exploration of her experience as a Queer Muslim. In addition to her behind-the-camera work, she has acted in various projects including the film Always Be My Maybe and the upcoming A24 film Eternity (2025).
