Eternity 2025
Released on November 26, 2025, the A24 fantasy romantic comedy Eternity, directed by David Freyne, follows the afterlife journey of Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) and her husband Larry (Miles Teller), who die within days of each other and find themselves at "The Junction," a surreal, terminal-like weigh station where souls have one week to choose their permanent themed afterlife. The emotional conflict arises when Joan is reunited with her first husband, Luke (Callum Turner), a soldier who died young in the Korean War and has been waiting decades for her; faced with an impossible choice between the man she built a decades-long life with and the "perfect" first love she lost too soon, Joan is granted a special visa to sample eternities with both men. Supported by their afterlife coordinators Anna (Da'Vine Joy Randolph) and Ryan (John Early), Joan eventually realizes that the hardships, growth, and messy reality of her long marriage to Larry hold more weight than the static, idealized nostalgia of her youth with Luke, leading her to choose Larry for their final destination. Commercially, the film has earned approximately $23.5 million at the worldwide box office (with roughly $14.8 million from domestic markets), performing as a solid mid-budget success for A24. While it is not yet available on subscription streaming services, it can currently be purchased or rented on digital platforms like Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home, with a streaming debut on Max expected in early 2026 as part of A24’s ongoing distribution deal.

This is a rare find. A movie that is well acted and cast along with being well written. Love is something that some not only may never find and even more rare understand. This movie understands this more than most and not since The Notebook has a movie told a love story so well. I find that there are so many movies released it's hard to know when to watch it. This was well worth the watch.
