Patton Oswalt
Patton Oswalt is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and voice artist celebrated for his distinctive comedic voice that blends pop culture references, observational humor, and self-deprecating wit. Born in 1969, his comedy career began in the late 1980s, leading to a major breakout with his role as the eccentric Spence Olchin on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007). Oswalt has since achieved acclaim across multiple mediums, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for his 2016 Netflix special Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping, which also earned him a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. Beyond his stand-up, which often addresses personal tragedy and grief, notably in the special Annihilation, he is one of the most prolific voice actors in Hollywood, most famously as Remy in the Pixar film Ratatouille (2007) and recently as Matthew the Raven in the Netflix series The Sandman (2022-Present). His notable acting roles include Principal Durbin on A.P. Bio, the multiple Koenig brothers on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and critically praised performances in films like Big Fan (2009) and Young Adult (2011).
