GOAT 2026
GOAT (2026) is an upcoming animated sports action-comedy film from Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind the Spider-Verse movies, and is produced in collaboration with NBA star Stephen Curry's Unanimous Media. The movie is set for a nationwide theatrical release on February 13, 2026, timed to coincide with the NBA All-Star Weekend. The story takes place in an all-animal world and follows Will, a small goat with a massive dream who is given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to join the pros and play roarball—a fictional, high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport traditionally dominated by the world's largest and fiercest animals. Will's arrival is met with deep skepticism from his new, much bigger teammates, but the determined goat sets out to revolutionize the sport and prove that "smalls can ball," making it a classic underdog story with an animated twist. The film is directed by Tyree Dillihay and co-directed by Adam Rosette, and features a star-studded voice cast including Caleb McLaughlin (as Will Harris), Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, and Stephen Curry himself as a giraffe teammate named Lenny Williamson.
