Send Help 2026
Send Help is an darkly comedic survival thriller directed by Sam Raimi, set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026. Marking Raimi’s return to original horror for the first time since Drag Me to Hell (2009), the film stars Rachel McAdams as Linda Liddle, a meek corporate employee, and Dylan O’Brien as Bradley Preston, her overbearing and sexist boss. The story follows the duo as they become the sole survivors of a catastrophic plane crash while on a business trip. Stranded on a remote, unforgiving island, the power dynamic quickly flips; while Bradley has spent years belittling Linda, it is revealed that she has spent years training for the reality show Survivor, making her the only one with the skills necessary to keep them alive. As the two navigate the tropical wilderness, the film blends psychological tension with Raimi's signature "splatstick" humor. What begins as a desperate bid for survival against nature soon devolves into a twisted battle of wits and willpower, with Linda using her newfound leverage to "terrorize" her boss in a series of "outrageous" and bloody encounters. The supporting cast includes Dennis Haysbert, Chris Pang, and Xavier Samuel, with a soundtrack by frequent collaborator Danny Elfman and cinematography by Bill Pope. Distributed by 20th Century Studios, Send Help is being described as a mix between the survival isolation of Cast Away and the psychological torment of Stephen King’s Misery.
