Pekka Strang
Pekka Strang is a well-known Finnish-Swedish actor who has achieved international recognition for his lead roles in major Finnish films. Born on July 23, 1977, he is a graduate of the Theatre Academy Helsinki and also served as the artistic director of Lilla Teatern in Helsinki from 2005 to 2014.Strang is best known for his compelling portrayal of the iconic Finnish homoerotic artist Touko Laaksonen (better known as Tom of Finland) in the 2017 biopic Tom of Finland. His work in the 2019 film Dogs Don't Wear Pants also earned him a nomination for the Jussi Award for Best Leading Actor. He has a diverse career spanning cinema, television, and theatre, with other notable appearances including the Netflix film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023) and the TV series Bäckström. In the realm of literature-based films, he also has a role in the 2024 adaptation of Tove Jansson's novel, The Summer Book.
